ü Writing and Speaking Skill (Keterampilan Menulis dan Berbicara)
The voice of a verb tells whether the subject of the sentence performs or receives the action. In English There are two voices: active and passive.
Active Voice
In active voice, the subject performs the action expressed by the verb
Example: The student wrote a song.
Passive Voice
In passive voice, the subject receives the action expressed by the verb:
A song was written by the student.
The passive voice always consists of two parts: a form of the verb "to be" + past participle:
Transitive verbs have both active and passive forms.

TENSES

       1.       Simple Present Tense
       2.       Present Continuous Tense
       3.       Present Perfect Tense
       4.       Simple Past Tense
       5.       Past Continuous Tense
       6.       Present Future Tense;
·      The use of “Will, Shall, To Be Going To”
 ( Penggunaan “Will, Shall, To Be Going To” )
Examples:
      1.       Simple Present Tense
Pattern:
(AV) S + Verb-1 + s/es + ….
(PV) S + am, is, are + Verb-3 + by + ….
Example:
(AV) Romeo always cleans the white board.
= Romeo selalu membersihkan papan tulis
(PV) The white board is always cleaned by Romeo.
= papan tulis selalu di bersihkan oleh Romeo
     2.       Present Continuous Tense
Pattern:
(AV) S + am, is, are + Verb-ing + ….
(PV) S + am, is, are + being + Verb-3 + by + ….
Example:
(AV) She is watering Yuli’s flowers.
= Dia sedang menyiram bunga-bunganya Yuli
(PV) Yuli’s flowers are watered by her.
= Bunga-bunganya Yulia sedang di siram oleh dia
     3.       Present Perfect Tense
Pattern:
(AV) S + have, has + Verb-3 + ….
(PV) S + have, has + been + Verb-3 + by + ….
Example:
(AV) They have done Falas’ homework.
= Mereka telah mengerjakan PRnya Falas
(PV) Falas’ homework has been done by them.
= PRnya Falas telah dikerjakan oleh mereka.
      4.       Simple Past Tense
Pattern:
(AV) S + Verb-2 + ….
(PV) S + was, were + Verb-3 + by + ….
Example:
(AV) Anata called Wate Koshi yesterday.
(PV) Wate Koshi was called by Anata yesterday
      5.       Past Continuous Tense
Pattern:
(AV) S + was, were + Verb-ing + ….
(PV) S + was, were + being + Verb-3 + by + ….
Example:
(AV) They were singing a new song when you knocked the door two days ago
(PV) A new song was being sung by them when you knocked the door two days ago.

      6.       Present Future Tense
Patterns:
a.       Will-Shall
(AV) S + will, shall + Verb-1 + ….
(PV) S + will be, shall be + Verb-3 + by + ….
Example:
(AV) Si Manis will teach them tomorrow.
= Si Manis akan mengajar mereka besok
(PV) They will be taught by Si Manis tomorrow.
= Mereka akan di ajar oleh si Manis besok.
b.      To Be Going To
(AV) S + am, is, are + going to + Verb-1 + ….
(PV) S + am, is, are + going to + be + Verb-3 + by + …
(AV) Bego is going to make Meambo’s house
= Bego akan membuat rumah rumahnya Meambo.
(PV) Meambo’s house is going to be made by Bego.
= Rumahnya Meambo akan di buat oleh Bego.

Catatan:
Perhatikan pasangan antara SUBYEK dan KATA BANTU bila berada dalam kalimat berdasarkan TENSESnya di bawah ini
1.       Kata bantu:                        Subyek
“am”            untuk subyek     ”I”
“is”             untuk subyek     “ He, she, it, Wati, Bego”
“are”            untuk subyek     “You, we, they, Wati and Bego”
“was”          untuk subyek     “I, She, He, It, Wati, Bego”
“were”         untuk subyek     “You, we, they, Wati and Bego”
“will”           untuk subyek     “ (semua subyek)
“shall”         untuk subyek     “I dan We” saja.
“have”         untuk subyek     “ I, You, We, They, Wati and Bego”
“has”           untuk subyek     ” He, She, It, Wati, Bego”
2.       Semua kalimat pasif menggunakan kata kerja bentuk ke-3
3.       Setiap kalimat bentuk “Continuous” dalam kalimat pasif menggunaka kata “being”
