Ø Expressing Opinions
When we are negotiating, expressing opinions or simply chatting with a friend, we often have to agree or disagree with the other person. Also, we don’t want to make a fight out of this, so we must know how to show empathy with different opinions and also disagree without sounding aggressive. It is very difficult to convince when they think you are attacking. We need to express our opinions and, at the same time, show that we are listening, understanding and appreciating the other opinions. If they feel comfortable, they will be more open to our ideas, opinions or suggestions. Here are different ways of doing so in a conversation.
Asking opinios :
– What do you think of …
(Apa pendapatmu tentang …)
– Is that right (true) that …
(Apakah itu benar bahwa…)
– Do you think it’s going …
(Apakah Anda pikir itu akan …)
– Why do they behave like that?
(Mengapa mereka berperilaku seperti itu?)
– Do you have any idea?
(Apakah kamu punya ide?)
– Please give me your frank opinion.
(Tolong beri saya pendapat jujur Anda.)
– What’s your opinion?
(Apa pendapatmu?)

Expressing Opinions :
– In my opinion, …

– I personally believe …
(Saya pribadi percaya …)
– I personally think …
(Saya pribadi berpikir …)
– I personally feel
(Saya pribadi merasa…)
– Not everyone will agree with me, but …

(Dari sudut pandang saya..)
– Well, personally ..

Awarded the Nobel prize for physics in 1918, German physics Max Planck is best remembered as the originator of the quantum theory. His work helped user in a new era in theoretical physics and revolutionized the scientific community’s understanding of atomic and sub-atomic processes.
Planck intriduced an idea that led to the quantum theory, which became the foundation of twentieth century physics. In December 1900, Plnck worked out an equation that described the distribution of radiation accurately over the range of low to high frequencies. He had developed a theory which depended on a model of matter that seemed very strange at the time. The model required the emission of electromagnetic radiation in small chunks or particles. These particles were later called quantums. The energy associated with each quatum is measured by multiplying the frequency of the radiation, v, by a universal constant, h. Thus, energy, or E, equals hv. The constant, h, is known as Planck’s constant. It is now recognized as one of the fundamental constant of the world.
Planck announced his finding in 1900, but it was years before teh full consequences of his revolutionary quantum theory were recognized. Throughout his life, Planck made significant contributions to optics, thermodynamics and stastistical mechanics, physical chemistry, and other fields. In 1930, He was elected president of the Kaiser Wilhelm society, which was renamed the Max II. Though deeply opposed to the fascist regime of Adolf Hitler, Planck remained in Germany throughout teh war. He died in Gottingen on October 4, 1947.

Effects of Watching TV for Kids
A. Considering some facts mentioning above, the parents can protect your children by limiting television viewing to one-two hours each day, not allowing the children to have a TV set in their own bedrooms and review the rating of TV shows which your children watch and sometimes watching television with children and discuss what is happening in the show
B. Besides that some researchers also found that there is a significant relationship between the amount of time spent for watching television during childhood and early adulthood, and the possibility of being aggressive.
C. Meanwhile, many studies that have been conducted indicated the relationship between kids who watch TV a lot and being inactive and overweight.
D. Recently, a study showed that spending too much time on TV during the day or at bedtime often cause bed-time disruption, stress, and short sleep duration. The children tends to have problem with their sleeping.
E. Television becomes one of the most important devices which takes place in almost houses. It can unite all family members. However, this is important to know what your kids are watching and of course that should be done by all parents. Television can expose things you have tried to protect the children from violence, pornography, consumerism and so on.
