RECOUNT TEXT
What is recount text?
Recount is a text which retells events or experiences in the
past.
= Recount teks merupakan teks yang menceritakan kembali kejadian atau pengalaman di masa
lampau.
The
communicative purpose or social function of recount text is to retell the past events
Tujuan komunikasi atau fungsi sosial dari teks recount adalah menceritakan kembali kejadian masa lalu.
It
gives the reader(s) the background information needed to understand the text,
such as who was involved, where it happened, and when it happened or introducing
the participants, place and time.

Ia memberikan pembaca latar belakang informasi yang di perlukan untuk memahami
teks, seperti
siapa yang terlibat, dimana kejadian
terjadi, dan kapan kejadian itu terjadi atau memperkenalkan
toko/pelaku, tempat dan waktu.

A
series of events ordered in a chronological sequence or describing
series of event that happened in the past.

Serangkaian peristiwa yang disusun sesuai rangkaian kronologis atau menjelaskan
rangkaian
peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau.

A
personal comment about the event or what happened in the end or it
is optional that states personal comment of the writer to the story.

Sebuah komentar pribadi tentang peristiwa atau apa yang terjadi di akhir cerita
atau merupakan penutup yang menyatakan komentar seseorang penulis pada cerita.

– Using the simple past tense = menggunakan Simple Past Tense
– Using temporal sequence, e.g. On Friday, Saturday, On Sunday.
= Menggunakan rangkaian waktu, contoh: Pada
hari Jumat, pada hari Sabtu, pada hari

– Focus on specific participant, e.g. I or we
– Focus on specific participant, e.g. I or we
= Berfokus pada toko/pelaku tertentu,
contoh: Saya atau kami
– Using the conjunctions, such as: then, before, after, etc.

= Menggunakan kata sambung,
seperti:Kemudian, sebelum, setelah, dll.

shops and I tried on some old hats.

went on the Scenic Skyway and it rocked. We saw cockatoos having a shower.
